This means that we can provide documentation of the drainage capacity and ensure an effective and safety solution, that meets the requirements for safety outlets in your construction or renovation project.

REMEMBER TO INCORPORATE SAFETY OUTLET

Do you remember to incorporate safety outlets? When constructing new buildings, it is important for you as a consulting engineer or architect to consider safety outlets to comply with the recommendations in the new guidelines.

It is worth mentioning that the first roof outlet well should be placed no more than 7.2 meters from the gable, while the maximum distance to the next one should be 14.4 meters. As a rule, you should establish one safety outlet for every two regular drains.

NEW CONSTRUCTION OR RENOVATION PROJECT?

If you are working on a new construction project, the required drainage capacity for the roof is typically already specified. As one of the few manufacturers worldwide, we have the documented knowledge about the drainage capacity of our various solutions in terms of liters per second and the square meter area each outlet can handle.

For renovation projects, you have options such as retrofitting a parapet outlet or increasing the drainage capacity by adding Ø90 bowl outlet to an existing Ø110 roof outlet. This operation is relatively straightforward because you use the existing pipes.

WORTH KNOWING ABOUT SAFETY OUTLET

  • The safety outlet ensures that the roof is not overloaded.

  • The safety outlet prevents water from overflowing from the roof edges.

  • Operates independently of the regular roof outlets in the drainage system.

  • Water from the safety outlet is carried directly to the outdoors and never into a sewer system.

  • Safety outlets can be interior drains or spouts that are directly installed through the wall crown.

  • Water from the safety outlet must not be discharged onto a lower-lying roof.

  • Safety outlets are placed close to the main roof drain.

  • Safety outlets are elevated above the roof covering, so that they only function when there is water accumulation on the roof.
